This sounds like the plot for Jupiter Ascending.. prison planet, engineered evolution, soul harvesting. If it’s true, it’s horrific, and we are nothing but cattle to a higher species in the same way we harvest other animals here. What’s worse is we presume our sentience gives us some special privileges to not deserve such a fate, yet the reality is our spirituality may be the true prize worth harvesting for others.

At some point the entire movie just goes over the top and nothing makes sense anymore. We don't get bored but we dont understand what's going on and we dont care about any of the characters. It ends up as a circus show. Alien 1 was way better.

MC in this one is one among the most stupid MCs out there, constantly piling stupid decisions on top of each other. The writers of this also seem to have been on drugs... Also, lots and lots of "that´s convenient" moments.

Women hate the hierarchy of the family, but western family statistics is proof that it is true. This movie suggests that the mother's love was needed when it wasn't, because the boy's father is dead. Religion is fascinating.

There's a lot of hints about the Antichrist also about him being not of this world. On a technicality his father's not even the devil that's just the spiritual renderance.
